A buffet table is primarily associated with party or food related purposes, or in other words, buffets. Buffet tables also serve as storage compartments for several odds and pieces that are inevitable in any home setting. Thus they are useful furniture pieces in any setting they are found.
The history of a buffet table can be traced several years back and it is still much relevant today. Of course, a lot of modifications have taken place to give us the present day buffet table. Thus the categorization of a buffet table can be done under basically two headings: antique and modern. Now under these two headings, buffet tables can be found in several designs, styles, sizes, and even shapes. Our focus here however is the antique buffet table.
